That's Life

I suggest starting by pressing play on the music player immediately below.

Frank Sinatra - That's Life
Found at skreemr.com

That's life,

that's what all the people say,

you're riding high in April,

shot down in May.

But I know I'm gonna change that tune,

when I'm back on top,

back on top in June.

I said that's life,

and as funny as it may seem,

some people get their kicks,

stompin' on a dream.

But I don't let it, let it get me down,

'Cause this fine ol' world, it keeps spinning around.

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king.

I've been up and down and over and out, and I know one thing:

Each time I find myself,

flat on my face,

I pick myself up,

and get back in the race...

  3. Thank you for the lyrics. I need to print this out and hang it on my wall! I feel down in almost every way at this moment in my life, and I need to remember to keep fighting for myself and to never give up. There will always be ups and downs, and I know I won't be down forever.

I hope that you are going to start posting again. I like what I've read so far, but you haven't been active since I joined your blog.

Good luck, and I hope you have a lovely day!

  5. Good song- not such a strong post- not really talking about what happened, avoiding it? I use the blog to put it out there... if you cannot be open AND honest here... where can you. It is a place that no one can find you out in the world- spit it out! You can do it!

  6. I think he said it perfectly!

Everyone has THEIR OWN way of communicating and "spitting it out." Gr8 post, as always.

Every single day... do something... even if it's the wrong something! The wrong something is better than doing nothing!!!!!

Most people can't get their heads wrapped around that last concept, because "doing wrong" equals going nowhere in their minds... but it's quite the opposite. As many incredibly successful people said (whatever success means):

    "I haven't failed 100 times ~ I've only learned what hasn't worked yet... 100 times."

  7. Just catching up on your posts. Sounds like your moving downward. Good for you.

My dad used to say "do something, Dana, even if it's wrong".

Just don't give up. But then, you already knew that.

  8. Nobody does it better than Ol' Blue Eyes.

    Fly me to the moon
Let me play among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
    On Jupiter and Mars

In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby kiss me

    Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
    All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you

    Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
    All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true
In other words, in other words, I love...you
