First, a warning: You may trip while taking a walk in my shoes unless you too have size 17 feet.
Second, actually don't bother. You don't need to walk in my shoes, I already did last night.
In fact, I walked quite a bit, for me. The most I've walked in some time: 1 1/2 miles. It was great. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with myself. And not only did I walk 1. 5 miles, but I did it in about 40 minutes, which is very cool, especially when I realized that my last "big" walk like this was 1.3 in 50 minutes. So that means that this time I walked a longer distance and I did it faster.
Today I'm feeling good. I feel like I'm healing.
I feel strong - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I feel grateful, happy, and measured.
That's it for now.Good luck Good choices to all of us this weekend!

I think you must be wearing seven-league boots, or something!
ReplyDeleteFantastic achievement, I am so pleased for you - enjoy your weekend, too.
Way to go!
ReplyDeleteBravo!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! It's always such a pick me up when you see something you have done that you didn't know you could do!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! A mile and a half in 40 minutes is great progress. I am so very proud of you and all of the changes you have made. When I think back to when you started this blog it makes me happy to know how far you have come in making those changes and how your spirits have risen. KEEP IT UP!!!
ReplyDeleteHey mutherfucker- I know where you live!! If you don't stop wishing everyone (and yourself) "GOOD LUCK"... I am going to come kick the shit out of your GOODLUCKSHIT!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously... when did we start leaving our choices up to luck?? Rewind to April-May of 2008... if I had labeled my the reasons for my issues and my weight to "luck" you would have called me out on my shit!
It is becoming a more frequent phrase that you are using and it is bothering me because if you are getting in touch with reality- luck is not a factor.
Luck is like just happening to be at TFC when Donna roles through for a cycle, and gets crazy in Co-occurring. THAT is bad luck (haha, I guess we all learn something from others).
YOU making good choices over the weekend is purely in YOUR CONTROL.
Thank you for a motivating post! That's exactly what I needed right now.
ReplyDeleteStay strong!
Julia
Good choices to you too! You're right though, it's not really luck, though it's not all choice, either. I'll have to think about what it is, maybe some preparation and planning, emotional balance, persistence, blah blah blah. Walking is awesome, and truthfully, you walk about the same speed I do. Exercise-any exercise, is so good for not just physical reasons, but emotional reasons as well. Also, regarding your senior center experience, I live in a big city, and I find myself in strange neighborhoods needing a bathroom. If you look lost, they'll jump on you about what you're doing, but if you look like you know where you're going and should be there, they usually don't even acknowledge you.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! This was really motivating! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to hear you sounding so well.
